Shiny Monkeys

!!!MONKEY SHINES WEEK!!!
When we made things for NTI, it tended to be in a brief productive flurry of ten to twenty things being sent back and forth. Images with M.E. Hart’s face placed on them, the original Garfield Comic Creator ones, these Monkey Shines ones. In a short amount of time we produced a lot of stuff (not like it was hard, it’s NTI) and then set up the queue to put them all up a day at a time. That gave us enough time to putt around before the next idea trading period.
So the reason Shiny Monkeys basically stopped when it did, unceremoniously, after eleven comics, is because we never had another streak of inspiration in that vein. We’d return to some ideas and franchises; Archie was fun for me most of the time, Whitington seemed to like Nancy most especially. When we started this tumblr again we did the Comic Creator ones again. But Shiny Monkeys didn’t really.. I mean, we basically ran out of the gags we wanted to do when we did. Not much more to say.
For instance, this one (I get the feeling I’ll have to explain most of these): Nearly every character kills Bonzo when he touches them. A character attempting to kiss Bonzo would immediately destroy him. Bonzo is named ‘Bungo’ just because.
The title is a They Might Be Giants reference. Finito.
